I have had decoration inspiration pouring out of me the last few days. So when I came across this article in the New York Times this morning, referring to the newly coined ‘undecorate’ movement, I was fully intrigued. This new form of design aesthetics has reportedly derived from the economic downfall, although we think the design gurus may have just chosen this time to put a name to what we call being thrifty, creative, and completely personal. I am pretty sure our last few apartments would most definitely fall into the category and it’s hard not to feel like our decor has now been robbed of something special. We’re just hoping that the official title and a published article doesn’t mean this NON design style will now be appearing in those fancy decorating zines. Uniqueness just can not be achieved with a how-to guide, sorry guys! The feature does, however, mention Apartment Therapy and our absolute favorite inspiration book, The Selby Is In Your Place, and THAT is something we can support.
